Ownership of rights
All rights, including copyright, in this website are owned by or licensed to Walkers Shortbread. Any use of this website or its contents, including copying, publishing or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non-commercial use is prohibited without the permission of Walkers Shortbread. You may not modify, distribute, publish, reproduce or re-post something on this website for any purpose.
Accuracy of content
Walkers Shortbread has taken every care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at time of publishing and all products have been fairly described. However, orders will only be accepted if there are no material errors in the description of the goods or their prices as advertised on this website. All prices are displayed inclusive of VAT. Packaging may vary from that shown. The weights, dimensions and capacities given are approximate only. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Walkers Shortbread disclaims all warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy of the information contained in any of the materials on this website. Walkers Shortbread shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the materials on this website.
Damage to your computer
Walkers Shortbread makes every effort to ensure that this website is free from viruses or defects. However, we cannot guarantee that your use of this website or any websites accessible through it won't cause damage to your computer and software. It is your responsibility to ensure that the right equipment is available to use the website and screen out anything that may damage it.
Walkers Shortbread shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise to computer equipment as a result of using this website.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account and any activities that occur under your account. Walkers Shortbread shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise as a result of any failure by you to protect your password or account.
All items are subject to availability. We will inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are not available by emailing you.
Every care has been taken to ensure that all prices and descriptions in our catalogue are correct. In the case of error you will be given the opportunity to cancel your order. We apologise if this is the case.
Dispatch and Delivery
All orders will be sent within 3-5 working days. They will be advised to 'leave safe' if there is nobody in to sign for the goods. If you have particular delivery instructions or would not like your order to be left without a signature, please advise at the time of ordering. By delivering your order to the address you specify when making the order then we have discharged our obligations to deliver the order to you.
Where possible we would advise taking delivery at a business premises where someone will be available throughout working hours, it is also possible to send goods to a neighbour. Please note it is not possible to give multiple alternatives for the delivery address.
It is your duty to ensure that your requested delivery date is suitable for either yourself or your gift recipient to accept an order.
We cannot accept responsibility for addresses provided incorrectly.
Please note it is a requirement of the courier company that we must have the telephone number at the delivery address.
Unless you are contacted by our sales team, your goods will be despatched within 3-5 working days and could be delivered any time up until 6pm. Please note that we cannot track the exact location of your order during the day and will only be notified by the couriers if there is a problem. We cannot estimate a delivery time and it may occur any time up until 6pm. We cannot make deliveries on Sundays.
Complaints and Refunds Procedure
It is your responsibility to check your order carefully immediately on receipt of goods. In the unlikely event of goods being unsatisfactory, damaged or incomplete you should accept delivery, notify us in writing by email within 2 working days specifying details of why you consider the goods are unsatisfactory, damaged or incomplete then return the goods to us within seven working days of receipt of the goods.
If we agree that the goods are unsatisfactory, damaged or incomplete then we shall (at our entire discretion) either send you a replacement order or shall refund you the value of the order to the extent we agree the goods are unsatisfactory, damaged or incomplete. We shall not be liable for any loss you suffer as a result of the goods being unsatisfactory, damaged or incomplete.
Each delivery costs £5.75 to all UK mainland addresses. We do not deliver to overseas. Delivery charges cannot be refunded.
Acknowledgment and acceptance of your order
If you have supplied us with your email address, we will notify you by email as soon as possible to confirm receipt of your order. Our acceptance of your order will take place upon dispatch of the product(s) ordered.
Under the distance selling regulations you have the legal right to cancel your order within seven working days of receipt of the goods. Where goods are delivered to a third party, you will only be able to exercise this right if you are able to return to us the goods you ordered. Restrictions on purchase
Where the order concerns alcohol, by placing an order you confirm that you or the recipient of an alcohol gift are over the age of 18.
All products are produced in nut environments and could possibly be contaminated with nuts.
The Gift Service is for your own personal and non-commercial use. You agree that any messages posted by you on the Gift Service or sent by us on your behalf to a third party will not contain anything which could be construed as harassing, threatening, vulgar, abusive, obscene, defamatory, racist or which may cause embarrassment or distress to any person or are otherwise unlawful or objectionable. You also agree that you will not impersonate any person, including but not limited to any of our employees or customers. You are entirely responsible for any text or other material which you send on this message system and Walkers Shortbread accepts no liability for any such content. We do not pre-screen messages, but may monitor content from time to time. We have the right to refuse to send or display messages and terminate access to the Gift Service at any time and without liability to you.
Exclusions of liability
Any disclaimers and exclusions of liability in these terms & conditions shall not apply to any damages arising from death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Walkers Shortbread or any of its employees or agents or fraud. These disclaimers and exclusions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scottish Law. If any provisions of these disclaimers and exclusions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
The aggregate liability of Walkers Shortbread shall be limited to the amount of the order from which the liability arises.

We reserve the right to change these terms & conditions from time to time and you should re-read them each time you use this website.
Law, jurisdiction and language
This website, any content contained herein and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this website are governed by and construed in accordance with Scottish Law. The parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland. All contracts are concluded in English.
