Festive Chocolate
Shortbread Salami
Looking for a show-stopping treat this festive season? This indulgent Festive Chocolate Shortbread Salami is as delicious as it is unique! Perfect for entertaining or gifting, it's easy to make and guaranteed to impress.
Ingredients
200g Walker’s Shortbread Fingers, crushed into small chunks
100g Pistachios, shelled and roughly chopped
250g chocolate, chopped
100g unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp espresso powder
Icing sugar, for dusting
Method
In a microwaveable bowl add the chocolate and microwave for 30 seconds repeatedly until the chocolate has melted and is smooth.
Next add the melted butter and espresso powder and mix together well. Then add in the crushed shortbread and pistachios and mix together well.
Lay out some cling film onto a flat surface then empty the mixture onto the clingfilm forming it into a sausage shape. Now wrap the mixture with the clingfilm rolling it tightly to tighten the shape then refrigerate for 4 hours until set.
Once set, dust it with icing sugar for a classic finish. For an extra touch of flair, wrap it with butcher's string to show the look of a traditional salami. Slice and serve, or package it up as a delightful gift!
